Daniel Howren

Education

M.S., Mechanical Engineering, Villanova University (in progress), Expected May 2011 

Experience

Mr. Howren joined MR&D in March of 2008 as a student intern and accepted a full-time position as a Research Engineer after graduating in May of 2008. Currently, he is performing thermal and structural analyses on carbon-carbon composite exit cones designed with strengthened inter-laminar properties. Dan is also currently working on an effort to design 3-D woven preform reinforced glass/epoxy composite materials for improved impact resistance.

Prior to joining MR&D, Mr. Howren worked as a student intern for Washington Group International in Princeton, NJ. There he was involved in several HVAC projects primarily focused on nuclear and coal-fired power plants.
